Cookie Policy
Which cookies and similar technologies this site uses, what each one is for, and how to change your choice at any time.
Last updated: 22 September 2026
This policy explains how IT Nest Limited (66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA) uses cookies and similar technologies on itnest.agency. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies such as localStorage store small amounts of data in your browser in the same way. We use the word "cookies" for both below.
2. Your choice
When you first visit, a small banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing non-essential is stored on your device before you answer.
- Accept lets our analytics tool keep a first-party identifier on your device, so a return visit is recognised as the same visitor. It also loads the Google tags described in section 3.3.
- Essential only keeps analytics cookieless: identifiers are held in memory for the current page only and nothing is written to your device.
Your answer is remembered in a localStorage entry named cookieConsent. You can change it at any time: "Cookie settings" in the footer. Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 requires your consent before we store information on your device, and UK GDPR Article 7(3) requires withdrawing it to be as easy as giving it.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary
- cookieConsent (localStorage): remembers the choice you made in the banner, the date of the answer and the policy version. Kept until you change it with the Cookie settings button in the footer.
3.2 Analytics: PostHog
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which buttons are clicked, how far people scroll, and where the site is slow or broken. Requests go to our own domain (the /ph path) and are forwarded to PostHog from there. Session replays mask every form field, so an email address or a business name you type is never recorded.
- ph_phc_…_posthog (cookie and localStorage): a random visitor identifier and session details. Set only after you click Accept. Kept for up to 12 months.
If you choose Essential only, the same measurements still run for the current page load, but without any identifier being stored on your device.
3.3 Advertising and measurement: Google
These tags load only after you click Accept. We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure our own advertising and to count enquiries that come from it. Google may set cookies such as _ga, _ga_*, _gid and _gcl_au. Google's own policies apply to that data: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks beyond Google's own conversion measurement.
- We do not record what you type into forms in session replays.
5. Client QR pages and menus
Pages served for our client restaurants under qr.itnest.agency and /menu record the fact that a code was scanned (device type, language, hashed network address) so the restaurant can see how its QR codes are used. No advertising cookies are set on those pages.
6. Contact
Questions about cookies or about your data: contact@itnest.agency.
